On Sunday, June 28, 1970, the Christopher Street Liberation Day March marked the first anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and the first-ever Pride celebration. In the 50 years years since, the LGBT community has made incredible strides in fighting for #equality throughout the world. The most iconic symbol of this continued fight is the rainbow flag, originally created by #GilbertBaker in 1978.
Over the years, the flag has been revised several times. It has now 6 stripes and in 2018, designer #DanielQuasar created the Progress Pride Flag to show the forward momentum of the Trans and BIPOC communities.
