Metamorphosis IV (2021) is one of five drawings created during the artist residency at the Centre of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko. This series—executed using resin, water, graphite, and pigment on paper—along with a related choral performance of the same title and a sound sculpture Przemiana (unveiled as part of Orońsko’s permanent Park collection in 2024) – draws inspiration from the myth of Daphne and her transformation into a tree. Both the sound composition and the drawings imagine the moment of transformation, when Daphne dies yet she is also reborn as a new form of life.
