Bunny Burson new public sculpture

Gallery artist, Bunny Burson unveils her large-scale stainless-steel sculpture, “The Common Code”, now on view at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, Colorado. Don’t miss this powerful piece! After many years documenting her family history through traditional printmaking processes, Bunny Burson became interested in the genetic piece of my past and began looking for scientific images to express it. Since technology has revealed the structure of the chromosome, it has become a metaphor for our commonality, defining the scientific story of all of us and signifying that there is more that connects us than divides us. In 2020, artist Leah Aegerter and Burson began a collaboration, pairing her background in digital fabrication and technology with her work relating to genetics.
