Join Left Bank Books on Monday, October 7, 7pm, at Left Bank Books in the Central West End, for a reading and book signing with Robert Kohn who will discuss A Darwinian Reading of Bill Kohn’s Painting.

St. Louis artist Bill Kohn taught at …Washington University School of Art for 40 years, and his art has been beloved and featured in numerous St. Louis galleries, including his estate now housed at the Bruno David Gallery. In A Darwinian Reading of Bill Kohn’s Painting, Bob Kohn explores his brother’s postmodern aesthetic during an age dominated by Abstract Expressionism.

Bob Kohn, an SIUE Faculty member since 1969, earned his PhD from Washington University, and is the author of New Close Readings of The Crying of Lot 49, Psychomachia or “The Fight for Mansoul,” and Radiance and Secrecy in Marilynne Robinson’s Gilead.
