Leslie Laskey (1921-2021) sculpture “TWO DOORS,” 2016 is now part of the permanent collection at the Michigan Legacy Art Park, Thompsonville, Michigan. The sculpture was first showed at BDG in 2017. Latest news (6-17-2021) about our dear friend, mentor, and BDG artist, Leslie Laskey. He is now at the BJC Hospice and hasn’t regained consciousness. Please keep him in your thoughts or prayers. He was going to be 100 on July 2, 2021.

Good to see Leslie Laskey (b. 1920) this morning at his home in Saint Louis. He is healthy and as always working his phone or on his artwork. The hardest working artist on Earth (along with Pierre Soulages, b. 1919)
