Monika Weiss showing at the WhiteBox, NYC

Gallery artist, Monika Weiss is included in the group exhibition “EndGame” at the WhiteBox, New York City. Opens November 5 at 6 pm.

EndGame is the fifth edition of WhiteBox’s quadrennial Presidential Election Exhibition Series, drawing inspiration from Samuel Beckett’s unsettling portrayal of cyclic finality. This exhibition reflects on the resonances of history—moments that may not replicate but nonetheless echo with familiar urgencies, set against the critical decisions defining the Republic’s 2024 presidential race.

The exhibition serves as both a layered composition and a proactive expedition, using artistic forms to challenge threats to the common good. Its range of expressions speaks to pressing issues—from social inequality, the housing crisis, immigration, and institutionalized violence, to racial and gender tensions, nationalism, and environmental degradation. Each curator selects one to three artists to present medium-to-small-scale visual, literary, filmic, or performative works, encouraging an intimate yet wide-ranging engagement with these themes. The exhibition will be on view through December 4.
